I write, direct and edit films for business and organisations.
This always entails working with clients to determine what they want, and how best to achieve it with the budget and resources they have.
Which can involve anything from crystallising ideas, writing treatments and scripts, moodboards and storyboards, interviewing, directing, and editing.
Recent projects
Showcase for academic publisher Gale, and their relationship with the University of Oxford, specifically their Digital Humanities Fellowship programme, centred around the world famous Bodleian Libraries.
Case study for technology provider Netcall, and how they helped The Royal Cornwall Hospital NHS and Isles of Scilly to transform their patient experience with their engagement portal, Patient Hub.
Moodboards can be helpful for getting a look and feel across quickly
Visual treatments can help demonstrate style and intended approach
Storyboards map out a story, creating a picture of what goes where
Written scripts and treatments can tell a whole story succinctly
I work with highly accomplished directors of photography and camera operators with state of the art cameras and lighting for shooting, and motion graphics for things you can’t shoot. Frequent collaborators are production company Ground Up Productions and animation house SMOTION

I can also build stories from existing footage, stock, recorded screens, type, stills and music, blending it together to tell a story with whatever we’ve got. Film and video is wonderfully diverse and flexible. There’s always something you can do.
